  1. From a personal perspective, I enjoy the Facebook Messenger app, as this gives me an opportunity to connect with friends and family at any given moment. From a professional perspective, I believe the Twitter #Hashtag is the most efficient in regard to an educational benefit. The #Hashtag has the ability to create an instantaneous classroom discussion, chat, or help center.

  2. My current favorite social media tools are Facebook and Instagram. I have used Facebook the longest, so I sometimes think I like it most out of habit. I also use Facebook the most for both personal and professional use, as I help manage my library's Facebook page and a group for my church. I like Instagram because it is more visual and simple, in a way. I think Twitter could become a favorite tool for me, but I need to become more familiar with how to use it well.

  3. My favorite social media are facebook and instagram. I really like facebook because it keeps me connected with friends from the past and present. I have been using it since 2009 and it changes every once and a while but for the most part it is still the same. I also really like instagram because it allows me to see my friends and their posts while also being able to see other peoples post that I am not friends with. This is mostly under the explore option. I follow a few "famous" instagram people or influencers. It's nice to be able to keep up with whats going on in the other states and the world.

  4. I enjoy the Facebook Messenger app because my college roommate/best friend currently lives in Japan. Using Messenger is our form of texting and what we use to get ahold of each other when we want to video chat. Also, my uncle, aunt and three cousins live in Australia. We are constantly communicating in Messenger whether it be through a phone call, video chat or text. This app is awesome for continued communication.

  5. I think for gathering information, Twitter is a great tool to use in the right circumstances. The search engine is simple, and there's a wide variety of feedback and great ideas from professionals around the world. I really enjoy the physical education community that's on Twitter.

  6. I don't use social media with my students. But I utilize groups on Facebook for professional resources. I go through spurts of using Pinterest to pin useful resources, but I get overwhelmed easily with the vastness of pins to peruse.

  7. If by tools we are referring to using social media in the classroom, I am not currently in the classroom, so I do not use any tools with students. I guess for myself, I might consider LinkedIn and Facebook Messenger tools. I use Messenger like email and LinkedIn to contact former work colleagues.

  8. I think I like Tiktok a lot for personal use. I used to love Vine before it died, so the short snippets of fun and sometimes educational info are definitely a good part of my day. I think Twitter makes a good educational tool and I've noticed a lot of creators using Tiktok as a way to reach out with educational info to the newest generation.

  9. My favorite social media tools include both Instagram and Facebook. I like these tools personally because when posting videos or pictures, I enjoy the ability to modify the photos with the different enhancement tools. I also enjoy looking at others posts for videos (boomerang etc) for each video that is posted. Also, one of the best parts is being able to send likes, care, hearts, and comment on specific photos and posts. That allows it to become personable with the online platform. During the closure last year due to COVID our students were able to utilize the schools Facebook page to complete tasks that were given as an option to continue their education. Both videos and pictures posted by families and students allowed us as educators to comment and see what the students were doing during the school day. It also allowed us to see which tasks they were completing. There we could like or comment on the success of the students work that was given. It also allowed other teachers and parents to see what was posted to give ideas to other students, as well as the encouragement to complete the tasks with their peers. Prior to this I have not used much social media in the classroom.

  10. My favorite social media tools that I use include Facebook and Pinterest. I post videos and photos to share with my family and friends. It is also a great place to store memories. A year later, Facebook reminds you of what you did on a specific day a year later. It is always fun to see what we were into or explored and reminisce on special moments. I also like Pinterest, it gives me recipes, photos, lessons, directions to complete home improvement projects. I can also share the results of my cooking or projects. I can collect pins and save them to specific boards to my interests. :)

  11. My go-to social media tools are Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram, and Pinterest. Through Facebook, Snapchat, and Instagram, I love seeing my friends and family's experiences as well as staying connected. Pinterest is my guilty pleasure. I often find myself using it for house remodel ideas, classroom resources and outfit inspiration.

  12. My favorite social media tool to use right now is TikTok. TikTok was a great hub of information for the hybrid teaching world. I learned so many new tips and tricks for online teaching and technology tricks. It's also an app that is so popular with the students I teach that I can find more ways to relate and connect with them. Since TikTok isn't very popular with other teachers at my school, I tend to be the one they go to for the inside scoop on the latest prank or joke that might be disrupting their learning environment.

  13. My favorite social media tool to use right now is Facebook. Being a member of an AP French Teacher group has offered me a ton of ideas and actual lessons. Teachers share their videos/lessons/ideas, and I simply get to log on and get to pick and choose. I learned in this unit that if you do that on twitter you are called a lurker!

  14. Facebook is my favorite social media tool to use for personal use because I am able to do so much with it! I can look at pictures, comment, share my thoughts, read articles posted by others, find mutual friends, and explore different things. Currently, I've been searching on Facebook Marketplace for classroom furniture that I can refurbish over the summer!
For professional use, I enjoy Instagram. I follow many other teachers on Instagram and it gives me great inspiration and motivation to be a better teacher, every day!
